In a paradoxical way, quarantine has felt like a thriller that won’t end. The fact that we can’t distinguish May 2020 from September 2020 is unnerving. Virus strains are multiplying and did you hear the one about the pharmacist who sabotaged over 500 doses of the vaccine?

The strangeness of the COVID-19 pandemic has made its way into the narratives of a lot of new content, but none quite like the forthcoming film Locked Down, which was all shot during Covid in London. Cut by Lost Planet’s Saar Klein, Locked Down follows a not so happily quarantined couple played by Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway and Oscar-nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as they get caught up in a jewelry heist. Directed by Doug Liman, the quarantine heist (officially a new genre) has an all-star ensemble cast, including Ben Stiller, Mindy Kaling, Ben Kingsley and more.
