Christmas, ’tis the day to ball out. The most wonderful time of the year is looking a whole lot jollier thanks to five back-to-back NBA games that will be televised on December 25th.
To announce this gift, the NBA released “Ballin’ In a Christmas Wonderland,” a festive spot edited by Bruce Herrman. The campaign features lead players Lebron James, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and more, all of whom are on teams scheduled to play throughout the Christmas Day line-up.
With Bruce’s cutting expertise and visual effects from Jane Studios, the campaign plays like a highlights reel made in Santa’s workshop. Layups are energetically cut between steals, tip offs, and three-point shots. Meanwhile, snowmen stand court side, arenas are lit up by festive trees and lights, and basketballs are replaced with snowballs.
The NBA tapped chart-topping singer Normani to cover the holiday classic, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland,” which was poignantly rewritten as a catchy “Ballin’ In a Christmas Wonderland.”
